Thanks for all the help. My plan was to get the lower rings, but was not sure if that allows enough room between the 44 objective and the barrel. In doing the measurements, adding in the height of the Picatinny rail and the slope of the barrel, I think I am OK with the lower rings.

Hey, new member here, but not a new Springfield owner. I just got my new Waypoint 2020 and am waiting on my new scope. I ordered the Vortex Viper 3-15 X44. Question is what size scope mount? I am thinking medium, but not sure. Any advice would be appreciated. I can’t wait to get it out...
