Well there is an end to this drama. Lisa in the warranty dept. sent me a SHIELD SMSC as a replacement for the wasp. It's mounted, It zeroed fine and it holds true after 250 rounds. Bloodknight had I seen your post sooner I may have done that very thing!

Yeah I'm really curious. There was zero communication other than they recieved it. I'm hoping they replaced it with a new one but will that be any different? I'll let you know after it arrives.
I've got the same issue going on. Just spoke with customer service and they will replace it. It's not my primary carry so I can send the optic and wait for replacement. I'm just curious if the new one is any better.
