The "Doctor" footprint? Is that the name of the part at Vortex?

SOCOM 16 — Is a .308 Too Much for Home Defense?

I have the SOCOM 16 and it is one of the best firearms I own. I have a question on the Vortex Venom optic. What is the mount? I've tried to find it at Vortex and even made an inquiry. No luck so far. Much appreciated.

I was all excited by your first few paragraphs and I like the SA products, thinking I'm ready to buy. Then, you say, no go for SOCOM16. Bummer! Do you have a suggestion?

1911 Loaded Marine Corp. Operator, CA Compliant

God, I wish I could move. Too much family, business, etc. Besides, I live in a great, gated community, 2 miles from beach, very low crime, no city police dept. Just Sheriff. With good CCW protocols. BTW, California voted 30%+ for Trump. Don't abandon us, please. After all we are the home...

1911 Loaded Marine Corp. Operator, CA Compliant

I am a vintage racecar driver, so I appreciate the originals, www.historictransam.com. At this point, if I were to consider a "back to the roots" 1911. Hell yes. But I am stills such a "babe in the woods." Not sure where to start, but I am all ears!

1911 Loaded Marine Corp. Operator, CA Compliant

Thank you for your response, sir. I am leaning towards buying it. Has good specs and is relatively inexpensive. I really like how .45 ACPs shoot. I like the weight, the feel. Like I said, new to guns. Bought my first gun 2 years ago, now have 10 (and CCW), plan on a few more (and BTW, I...

1911 Loaded Marine Corp. Operator, CA Compliant

.45 ACP|OD Green/Black PX9105MLCA18 I am considering a purchase of this gun. I am still new to guns. My only 1911 is a Wilson Combat Supergrade. Yes, I know, boukoo bucks, but it was a birthday present to myself. I love it and .45 ACP 1911. If you have one or an opinion, please advise...

optic on home page SA M1A?

Thank you Ford Man. Me too. http://www.historictransam.com/Drivers/MichaelMartin70Mustang78.html Plus many more. I read your post recommending the Vortex and mount. Thanks for that too. The red dot, of which I have a Aimpoint Pro for my Saint Victor is kinda big. Not sure I like it yet...

Looking for feedback with regards to the differences, especially the Recoil Systems. And if anyone has general comments about Springfield CA compliant 1911s.

TRP CA Compliant SS vs. TRP CA Compliant Full Rail

New to the forum, gun world, EDC, CCW, etc. This is my first post. Have purchase 9 long & hand guns since 2020, the "Summer of Love." Including XD9, Saint Victor, EMP. Looking at a TRP Operator and other than the grips and the sights, the only difference between the two guns is the Recoil...
