Is there a difference between Glocks made in USA and Austria

I live near the Glock plant in Georgia and know someone who works there. While he’s probably biased to a degree, he said there is no difference from a production line perspective to manufacturing here vs Austria. He also said they send parts for some models to Europe from Smyrna, and vice versa...

    SA 35 Availability

I have not seen them at any reputable online or brick and mortar retailer. They are out of stock. BDU does show them at $604…but out of stock. Maybe they can be had at elevated prices on auction sites if people are hoarding the limited supply. Don’t know. I don’t use those sites.

    SA 35 Availability

The same place I can get one at this point. Nowhere. Don’t think they’ve started distributing them yet.

Woman points a loaded gun at a 7-year old trick-or-treater

Nothing would justify pointing a firearm at a child, let alone one that young, unless they were about to kill you or someone else. If a child was about to throw a bomb in my window, maybe I’d shoot them before they could. Beyond that you’re probably an idiot who shouldn’t handle firearms.

Very good news for VA gun owners

Oh absolutely, there won’t be any new anti-2A legislation proposed and certainly not passed. And the new AG is a Republican, so any interpretation around enforcing existing anti-2A laws will be made by him. Only can be goodness there.

Very good news for VA gun owners

Most likely no repealing of any laws for at least 2 years. All seats in the VA Senate are elected every 4 years, so none of those seats were up for election this year. The D’s have a 4 seat majority.

    The ''Woke'' are Waking Up

Yeah, they probably have a dictionary file loaded in the forum software that includes all the known permutations of racial or ethnic slurs. A bit silly but it is 2021 after all. 😁

    The ''Woke'' are Waking Up

It’s probably because the word “M-I-C-K” is a slur for the Irish, especially in the UK.

    What is “Great Bodily Injury”

I live in Georgia. According to Georgia Code § 12-5-53, serious bodily injury means “bodily injury which involves a substantial risk of death, unconsciousness, extreme physical pain, protracted and obvious disfigurement, or protracted loss or impairment of the function of a bodily member...

Where can I find a Hellcat OSP with manual safety and RDS preconfigured?

I don't know about the RDS preconfigured, except in an RDP model, but I bought a Hellcat OSP with manual safety at Academy Sports. The OSP has the optic cut, but not aware of them actually preconfiguring the RDS. Keep in mind that the RDP model has the longer threaded barrel with compensator.

Joe Biden Plans To Spend Your Money On A Fake Gun Violence Epidemic

And if the goal of the “well meaning” left is to save us all from ourselves, then certainly there is low hanging fruit like alcohol or driving that aren’t guaranteed by the Constitution. The fact that it’s not about safety or saving lives is the key. It’s about politics.

Joe Biden Plans To Spend Your Money On A Fake Gun Violence Epidemic

Are we going to ban cars and trucks? Isn’t drunk driving, which kills more than 10K and injures tens of thousands more every year, a “public health crisis” too using that yardstick? For that matter, why not ban alcohol again? After all, you can’t drive drunk if you can’t get drunk, right...

Home address or public location when selling a gun?

Personally, I’ve only sold one firearm to an individual. We met at the range (which also happens to be an FFL) and I made sure he had a Weapons Carry License, which in this state serves in lieu of a background check at an FFL anyway. That way I knew he wasn’t prohibited, and I took a picture of...

    Concealed vs. Open

That assumes the bad guy isn’t thinking “hey, I’ll jump that guy and get his gun” or any number of things that make the open carrier a bigger target. Unless anyone has some type of study or stats that can somehow substantiate that open carrying makes you less likely to be a victim than a...

    Concealed vs. Open

I would guess very, very few. And my rationale is based simply on the fact that the number of people who open carry (at least east of the Mississippi River) is minuscule. And if a criminal was deterred by that one guy in a million open carrying, then they probably just moved on to someone else...

    Concealed vs. Open

I agree with this and although I won’t restate my comments earlier in the thread, I still maintain there are very few, if any, benefits of open carry vs concealed carry in urban and suburban areas. A firearm is for self defense in the most dire of circumstances, when your life is at imminent...

First Look: Springfield Armory SA-35 9mm

I think the Turks already had a toe in that water. Tisas makes a BHP clone as well. I bought a SA mil spec 1911, and then bought a Ruger SR1911 for even more money, and I’m here to say the SA quality was better for less money. For $579, the SA 1911 is built very well. The Ruger is nice, but...

PSA Tooling Up For Domestic Steel-Cased Ammo Production

Smart business move. They’ve staked a part of their business on their US made AK line. Part of the attraction for those rifles was cheap steel case 7.62x39 from Eastern Europe. PSA probably knows that if it’s hard to get cheap ammo for AKs, then many people won’t buy them. This gives them...
