Couple f my classmates went SWAT. I was offered to tryout for Metro but at the time I had just remarried and was looking for a job working daywatch M-F. O’Connell was the rank grabber in my class, made Captain, and had worked SWAT. Retired as a Detective Sergeant, so happy…and still married!!
