Yeah. I got that part. Picture in the 'manual' didn't even show the groove in the detents, let alone an end with a point. I screwed up. I still really like the guns I have from them, but I doubt I'll ever buy another. There's too many other manufacturers that show an interest in competing...

Yeah, I got that. It was my suspicion from the beginning. It sure would have been nice if SA's high-quality (sarcasm alert) manuals didn't make the two different pins look identical. I just need to be more selective next time (when I remember Springfield overall package) before buying another...

BTW, the OP (me) was given the wrong detents. That's why the safety didn't work. And since SA's illustrations in its "manuals" are such poor quality there wasn't enough resolution to see that the parts I got sent were wrong. I'd bitched about the poor quality of the illustrations here before...
