I was also considering the ruger GP100. The 686 had the advantage with the 7rd cylinder. Still not ruling out the Ruger at some point though.

You can also burn your fingers from the hot gas.

I don’t have much experience with them. Keep fingers away from the cylinder when firing… that’s all i got. Well, that, and enjoy! Nice looking gun.
