Good point on the small size 9mm. I suspect it would be a handful for someone new to shooting. A .380 might be a better bet....

I've always enjoyed the Collector Grade Publication books. http://www.collectorgrade.com/ They are EXPENSIVE, but really good books. In depth, detailed and technical.

I think its a solid round, but shot placement is key (as is picking a good laoding and making sure it shoots well in your gun). Heck, the right shooter with a .22 can be deadly.....

I bet they are lots of fun, but I can't see spending that amount of money on them (and the $200 tax stamp). I guess if I did I'd want to get a multi-cal one that could work on a lot of guns....

For several years I've kept a 12 ga. 870 with three birdshot shells followed by three buckshot shells with three slugs in my side saddle. I figured the first three would offset concerns of overpenetration, the next three would be heavier hitters if I am still firing, and the last three slugs...
