2A attorneys that some of us may be familiar with if you have US LawShield. They say exactly that…and not to pursue, etc.

Is Modernizing the SA-35 a Mistake?

I dared to make that point here a few months back and got jumped on. It’s a shame because I wanted one badly but now wouldn’t buy one on a bet. A year later and you still can’t find one anywhere but maybe one of the auction sites for a premium (which its isn’t worth). Other companies seem to...

    EDC for three years now

I’m suggesting if there are burglars in the garage and they are safely in the house, and they go out to the garage and use deadly force…yes…they would be the aggressor at that point. Standing your ground is NOT the same thing as looking for a fight or using deadly force when your life is not...

M1A: Too Outdated for Self-Defense, or Best Bug-Out Gun Ever?

The M1A/M14 is a great rifle and a part of history. But no way would I rather have one as a “bugout” rifle over an AR-15. Many of the same reasons that led the military to switch would apply. Size and weight of the rifle and ammo (impacting number of rounds carried), ease of cleaning the AR...

    EDC for three years now

Not incorrect. My family lives in FL and has for 30 years. I carry in FL when I’m there visiting. You cannot go looking for a confrontation. When you do, that’s not self defense. Standing your ground means you don’t have a duty to retreat, but that’s not the same thing as being the aggressor.

Is the SA-35 Suited for Modern CCW? An Undercover Cop’s Perspective

It’s not suited for anything if you still can’t buy it a year after it’s supposed to be for sale.

In fact this is why the Ahmaud Arbery case ended in convictions. Regardless of whether the defendants had good or bad intentions, they went looking for a fight. That automatically invalidates your claim to self defense in Georgia at least.

I’m not a lawyer, but what I think a lawyer would tell you is that if you’re safe inside your home, you call the cops and wait inside your home. If the bad guys try to enter your home, then you have the right to defend yourself. But the minute you leave that position of safety to engage the bad...

    EDC for three years now

While you don’t have a duty to retreat in most states and castle doctrine applies to your dwelling, if go outside and confront them and fire “warning shots” then you are now shifting the responsibility to yourself. The best action in that circumstance is to call 911 and take defensive positions...

Sig Sauer P365 Models: History, Evolution, & Why They’ve Remained #1

My wife and I both have P365XLs. I rotate with my Hellcat and Shield Plus. What a great time to be carrying concealed. Not like 20 years ago when your choices were a Glock 19 or something big and heavy.

    SA-35 ---WHEN??

And to add to the point…my 2 LGS’s locally had 10 of the new S&W M&P 9 Metal handguns. A bit expensive and not for me, but announced on 9/1 and two weeks later they’re available. The same market forces work for S&W and Sig. So who knows. I’ve abandoned my decision to buy a SA-35.

    SA-35 ---WHEN??

Not calling anyone anything. And I’m neither blind nor stupid. Don’t want to make this personal, but your posts were essentially calling me naive for stating the obvious.

    SA-35 ---WHEN??

It’s been 11 months. If they’ve only produced a few thousand units in that time, then you’re making my case for me. Not sure why you’re defending them. Do you work for SA? And I have called SA and the answer I got was very general and non-specific.

    Picked up some 9mm yesterday

I buy 115gr in bulk now for $0.30-0.35/round. Get 1,000 rounds of PMC or Blazer Brass for $0.30 or American Eagle for $0.35 with a few others in between. WWB sells for $0.40/round so thankfully no more of that stuff for me. The PMC is good stuff.

    SA-35 ---WHEN??

Exactly. To say it’s “in the marketplace” is disingenuous. The example I used is a good one. Sig released the P365X Macro a few weeks ago. I can go today…and buy one. I might have to drive a few minutes but I can buy one at a FFL or online on one of the sites like PSA. And not for double the MSRP.

    SA-35 ---WHEN??

This is silly. It hasn’t been in the marketplace all year. A few were made and they were sold by people gouging at auction sites. Obviously they stopped production many months ago and have a huge issue. Sig introduced their new P365X Macro, and a week later you could buy one, at MSRP or below...

SIX REASONS TO OWN A REVOLVER

Some of those items are subjective and one could make a case either way. The one though that I’d take issue with objectively is: “They make excellent guns for novice shooters” I think it’s hard to make a real case that this is true. Seems like nostalgia or wishful thinking. Is a revolver with...

OK thanks. Simply saying you don’t know would have been just as helpful. I won’t ask here again.

    Springfield SA-35

Don’t want to ask the same question over and over or be a melodrama queen, but WTF is going on with the SA-35? It’s 9 months since “release” and there are none to be found…anywhere. I have one of the largest gun stores in the US nearby, and they have a NFS demo unit they got in months ago, but...
