This made me think about my training regiment

Training "regiment"? As to your question, Mas Ayoob teaches that shots to the pelvis are quite effective. "Break the chassis and the vehicle is coming to a stop in short order," was I believe how he put it.

Fulfilling A Promise I Made To Myself

Sounds to me like he's been watching too many Walking Dead reruns.

    Mandolorian

Hulu put on the first two episodes for free. I watched them and found absolutely no reason to want to see any more. Bad as that was, HBO's new The Last of Us is even worse. Okay, first episode was somewhat interesting, but the second promised nothing but boredom and silliness to come. That's...

    Colt’s King Cobra 10-Shot Revolver & 4-Inch Anaconda — SHOT Show 2023

The New King Cobra is not on the same V-frame as the original. You're right that Colt has not re-introduced the original D-frame, but the new Cobra etc. are on its modern equivalent, with a @ 1.4" diameter cylinder. Also note that the new "King Cobra" is a LOT lighter than the originals. ;)

    Luger Family Photo

Nice Luger collection, and congrats on your surgery and good wishes for a full and speedy recovery! ;) (y) I recently scratched my own "Luger itch" with the Umarex Legends P.08, an AMAZING CO2 replica that's just buttloads of fun to shoot in my basement whenever the mood strikes me. Great fun...

    Colt’s King Cobra 10-Shot Revolver & 4-Inch Anaconda — SHOT Show 2023

It basically IS a Diamondback in everything but name. Yah, kind of silly that they kicked the "King Cobra" name down to the (essentially) new D-frame. Kinda sorta makes sense maybe in an adjustable-sighted .357, but not for other variants. But, alas, here we are. I have zero interest in a 3"...

I WANT that .22 King Cobra, but not enough to sell or trade in either of my .22 Diamondbacks.

    Taylor’s & Co. TC9 Cattleman: A Timeless, Modern 9mm

Me too. If I didn't already have a 3" Smith 66, I'd be looking at it VERY hard. And at about six pigs, it's hundreds less than comparable Smith, Colt, and even Ruger revolvers.

Did You Know the Mil-Spec Could Do This?

Roy, I've enjoyed your writings in AH for several decades now. I believe we're the same age, and we seem to have a lot of "gun taste" in common. Good to have you here! ;) (y)

Did You Know the Mil-Spec Could Do This?

There's little question that pinhole apertures on your glasses can sharpen your sight picture. BUT! Will you have such a thing available in time of real "crisis"? Almost certainly not. Best to not learn to rely on one to do your shooting.

Did You Know the Mil-Spec Could Do This?

Very interesting article! I don't have a SA Mil-Spec (except for their CO2/BB pistol) but I do have several 1911s set up almost exactly the same way. This is also VERY similar to the old Jeff Cooper GSP (Gunsite Service Pistol) and in fact I built up my first one even before the GSP appeared...
