Using a Firearm to Detain a Person

I only watched a short portion of the video. As a retired law enforcement officer I can only say that you had better have a very good, articulable, reason for pointing a gun at someone and preventing them from leaving.

Bobcat v Rattler: Epic UFC Battle

Bobcat vs rattlesnake seems to be a popular topic on Youtube.

    My bad!

Good question. It's possible that since no one noticed the sight was off center at first, was that it gradually shifted due to recoil. If that was the case, then it's possible that the dove tail was out of spec and sending it in would be the proper thing to do.

Glock 20: Why the 10mm Pistol Is One You Want in the Backcountry

If I had a choice, the G20 would not be my first choice, but since it is my only choice it is what I would happily carry while in the backwoods.

    1911s – 45 ACP vs 9mm vs 10mm — Which is Best?

I have fired all three, a lot and if it ever came down to only being able to keep one then it would be the 10mm.

    Sports on TV

I have pretty much lost all interest in watching sports on TV, about the only thing I watch occasionally, is golf.

The Rimfire Report: The 3 Best 22LR Pocket Concealed Carry Options

Good article! I notice the .22 is getting a lot of attention these days. I wonder if the ammo shortage might have something to do with it.🙂

Power on the Cheap: Best Affordable 10mm 1911 Options

I have the G20 and I bought a 40 cal Wolf barrel for it, put on night sights, extended slide and mag releases and aftermarket trigger and is still way under the author's $1200.00 ceiling.

Decisiveness Matters in a Deadly Force Situation

As far as I am concerned, if you have a gun for self-defense, whether EDC or in the home, you had better be prepared to use it.

Cleaning Tips and Tricks for Firearms

I regards to competitive .22 shooting we would always fire a few rounds to "dirty" a clean barrel before we shot for competition.

    Happy first day of fall...

I guess I have to get out more as I wasn't aware of meteorological seasons before the OP. 😴 However, I find the meteorological seasons to be more in line with what we see here in the upper plains.

Altitude sickness: 5-things you didn't know

Good article! I wasn't aware of HAPE and HACE before. I lived in Colo. Springs for a long time and never experienced any problems, but now, after living in the flatlands of South Dakota for over 30 years, I'm afraid it might be different if I went back to COS today.

Do .22 LR Pistols Make Sense for Self-Defense?

If a .22lr is all you have, then by all means carry it. I have no qualms about carrying a pocket revolver in .22mag, which I carry quite often, but that caliber is where I, personally, draw the line. The argument that a .22lr is an inferior defensive tool because it may take several shots to...

5 Silliest Mistakes People Make In the Outdoors

Probably should have titled the article, "5 dumbest mistakes people make in the outdoors". Nothing 'silly' about falling 200', getting flung around like a rag doll by a bison, etc.
