    Amazing Hummingbirds. . .

I walked out this AM with the first feeder. As I was hanging the feeder a male ruby-throat hovered so close by my head I could feel the wing-wash. He remained so until I finished and backed away, then he perched and fueled-up. I'm left wondering how many years he's been a patron at my diner.

The fifth season begins on The History Channel April twenty-third at ten pm. I'm excited with the return, and hope it remains as interesting and entertaining as previous seasons.

And The Hits Keep Coming. .

We've just learned our house payment has just increased one hundred twenty five dollars monthly, due to taxes and insurance. Thank Heavens it's very nearly paid for. They've failed us in so many ways. What next?

    "Parish" On AMC

Is anyone else watching this new crime drama? As a big fan of Giancarlo Esposito, I regret to report I'm not overly impressed thus far. I understand there are just six episodes for season one.

Springtime In The Midwest. . .

The weather outlook at my location has me dreading a bit of a deluge. Four plus inches is likely over the next few days, on already highly saturated ground. I do hope that's overstated. I also hope the old pump in the basement holds true!

    Favorite Childhood Cartoon...

I've discovered Boomerang channel is running my all-time favorite, (slightly ahead of Looney Tunes) Jonny Quest. What a fantastic old program, especially for a young lad. And, the theme music? Second to none!

Lewis passed yesterday, seventy-six years old, due to heart attack.

    "Shogun" Debut. . .

My DVR picked up the first two episodes of the new FXHD series yesterday evening. We've not watched it yet. It looks intriguing. My hope is that it proves to be more than simple, abject violence. Yes, it was indeed a very violent epoch; I'll be holding out for an interesting story line.

    "Resident Alien" Season Three

    Beretta 80X Cheetah

Currently, I do not own a .380 ACP pistol. Considering the current advancements in ammunition, this offering has piqued my interest considerably. What say you?

    "Fresh Talon Grips"

Spent an hour yesterday swapping new for old original Talon grips on my carry XD-S and two other pistols. I've grown to dislike the waffle style XD-S grip. What an improvement!

    Snazzy New Britches. . .

    New Ride for Mr. W.

The Wonderful One brought this home for me this afternoon. 2016 CR-V, decent miles, exceptional service record, very clean. With interest rates so poor, she paid cash. I'm so pleased and thankful. There can not be a more fortunate man than I.

    Noir Alley Returns

A quick heads-up for fans, the program returns from summer break on TCM tonight, followed by the customary encore on Sunday morning. Until then. . ."see you in the shadows."

    Black Rifle Coffee

The Wonderful One surprised me yesterday with an unusual bag of beans, Black Rifle "Just Black" varietal. She reported it was displayed at reduced price. My unofficial Coffee Snob rating is 4.0. Unimpressive, and not a repeat. I found it a bit curious the beans were unsourced. Also, remembering...

An Observation to Share. . .

I'm lounging, and decided I'd check-in with Kyle, Stan, Butters, and the gang. Now, I'm no fuddy-duddy, at least I don't think I am, yet. I've circled the block many times. I saw a promo for an MTV video music award program. My observation? I'm definitely, woefully out of touch, and I couldn't...

Feeling a tad peaked this morning. . .

Yesterday, twelve-noon, I updated my Covid shots with the most current serum. Previously, save a sore deltoid, I had no difficulties. This injection has my head throbbing, along with strange body aches to compliment the sore shoulder. The symptoms definitely surprised me!
