Just received the steel scope mount for my M1A, and mounted a Vortex Viper 6-24x50 scope on it. Need to get it to the range tomorrow and get it sighted in. I used the 44 Cal spud from the bore sighter kit, fit perfectly in the flash hider.

My older and last brother passed away this past winter, and I was finally able to drive back to Montana and take possession of a couple firearms he wanted me to have. One was a Colt Gold Cup Mod 0 Series 70 45, the other was his SA M1A loaded model. He knew I loved that M1A! Regards, Bill
