2 Q. one legal one gun customization... DDM4v7p

Now I'm not much of a gun smith... about the only thing I've ever done is put on M-LOK items like sights and flashlights. And disassemble/clean/reassemble my guns.

I'm looking to replace this pistol brace with an actual butt stock... now if I get this right...

1. I will have to register it as a SBR since it is a "pistol" correct?

2. Is there any downside to replacing this pistol brace with a butt stock? I know it's a 10-inch barrel, but I also have a SOCOM suppressor attached making it more of a rifle then a pistol based on size. (And yes, I have the tax stamp for the suppressor already.)

Thanks for any input.

The suppressor can be factored into the overall barrel length of a pistol to rifle conversion only if the suppressor is permanently attached which usually consists of pinning and welding the suppressor to the barrel and the barrel with the permanently attached device has an overall length of 16in or longer.
