Alex and Geddy To Return To The Live Stage Together. . .

Mixed feelings, but more...

BTW - Alex had/has arthritis in his hands so he must have found some effective meds.

Still playing La Vita Strangiato might be a stretch now-a-days for him.

I can understand the apprehension, the expectations.

When they announced the Led Zeppelin Celebration Day concert I was apprehensive, it had been 27 years. But after that initial 10 seconds I was one of the 20 million who broke the system trying to buy tickets, and was only half joking when I told the firstborn she might be traded for tickets.

And they were magnificent, Jason stood in for his dad wonderfully, but that was almost 25 years ago. Now, men in thier late 70s and 80s, no way they could pull off a Led Zeppelin show. I would not want to see it, I saw Zep twice and Page and Plant once, let them live in my memories...

Besides a new drummer, they've admitted to getting a keyboard player to free up Geddy, and they allude to another, likely to back-up Alex since his fingers aren't what they used to be.

I saw the original RUSH 6X. Four times in the PNW back in the day, and 2X in MN between 2009 & 2012.

The only time I saw RUSH stiff the fans was at a concert in Portland, OR in the 80's when RUSH had The Fabulous Thunderbirds to substitute for the regular lead-in band. Needless to say the fans didn't like that and booed TFT. RUSH didn't like that and refused to come out for an encore after the reg set.

Well, they're the two remaining members of Rush, playing Rush's music, so I'm okay with it.
It’s still not Rush. Don’t get me wrong, I’d gladly pay $200 to see them again if I didn’t have to drive to Chicago to do it. It’s not like I’m mad about it. If they started writing new material and releasing it as Rush, then I’d be mad. Neil may have only been 1/3 of Rush but he was 100% of the lyric writing members of Rush.
