While the government fun police seem to have gone too far with consumer safety in modern times, there are a few examples from the 1900s of extremely dangerous products that definitely snuck under the radar. This list covers some of the most dangerous children’s toys sold in U.S. history and includes everything from molten lead to explosive chemicals to radioactive elements.

Those roll up plastic carpet sleds were wicked fast. Impossible to steer and easy to carry up the most wicked peak you could find. My back still cringes at the thought.

I drove the Massey Harris through the barn wall when a toddler and the keys were left in it. I just remember I couldn't reach the pedals....

I learned to drive on a 1963 Ford Pick Up with a 4-speed manual transmission when I was six. I was so short I looked over the dash and under the curve of the steering wheel. It was an entirely different world.

Merry Go Rounds —- load it up to capacity and see who would be last person spinning that could hold on with a gaggle of kids getting it up to speed like a Centrifuge

I remember throwing steak knives at my sister while she stood in front of a wood door.Boy, was my father pissed when he saw all the knife holes in the door!
