Great advice with winter coming shortly, especially in the Northern and Western states.

Got frostbite once when I was younger and it's not much fun.

Good post Anni . Looks like the wrong day for me to start & again, if I ever get frostbite . Thankfully, I gave the two up years ago.

Situation: buddy aid:
I agree with everything, except for step 2 of what to do. I would not soak the affected area in water. Instead, I would use my own body heat to warm the affected area and seek medical attention.

I assisted with a case of frostbite, where we put the individual's hands in his armpits and I put this feet directly against my bare stomach until medics arrived. This individual didn't lose any digits, but had lasting sensitivity to cold.
