Help me decide!!

Hello fellow Springfield fans!!!
I have always wanted a 1911 and it’s time to scratch that itch. I’ve been saving up my pennies and selling my blood so hopefully by the end of the year I can get whatever my heart desires. And that’s where you come in. Below are the models I’ve been looking at and a few requirements. Based on these options what would you buy and WHY?

-Must be Springfield
-Must be .45acp. This is a nostalgia type of purchase and a 1911 without .45 just doesn’t feel right.
-No black on black. I already have a bunch of black guns, it’s time for something pretty.
-I prefer wood grips BUT if the winner has g10, they can always be replaced..
-This is a fun gun not a carry gun. Weight/length are not an issue.
-With the exception of the Custom Shop, cost is irrelevant. I’m fine selling my blood but my kidneys are staying put.

Based on your requirements, I would purchase the Ronin. Hands down, not even close!

So tempted to go with the gun forum of habit of "Well I know you said Springfield but how about a . . . ." I will refrain. But it hurts.

I would choose either the Vickers or the Ronin. Since it is your first 1911 and don't know for sure that you would like it , I would probably go with the Ronin because of price. I think the Ronin will do everything you want it to do and then some with out a big price tag.

I have had several 1911s , 2 Colt's ( Combat Commander and a Gold Cup ) and a KImber ultra tactical with 3" BBL. If I ever get the money to spend on another 1911 it will be the Ronin.

Sure, it’s all black, but if that really bugs you, I’m sure XDMan can set you up with a custom finish.

I love my TRP and have been eyeballing the Ronin

I would choose the TRP. I have zero complaints with mine and it is very close to a custom at 60% of the cost. If the G10's bother you there is a place here in Texas that makes great custom wood grips. I find it offers everything I could want.

Well that is the question of the year. Once January rolls around I should have enough to at least start the hunt.
