Installing Romeo Zero on Springfield Hellcat

I couldn’t find much out there on installing a Romeo Zero on a Hellcat, so thought I would post my experience to help others. I had been waiting for an optic for my Hellcat and researched the three that would fit (Romeo Zero, Shield, and FJ Point). I ended up choosing the Romeo Zero based on cost and it had the features and look I was looking for so was willing to spend the 200 bucks once my gun store finally had them in. The common issue is screw length. The M4 screws provided are too long and are cheaply made, so I opted to run to Home Depot and purchase some M4-0.7 x 10MM socket cap screws. The length is deceiving as the length includes the cap, so it’s a perfect fit. They were much more durable than the ones provided and didn’t have to cut anything. They obviously sit a little higher but looks more professional and sturdy with no obstruction. I will posts some pics as well to show end result, which I am happy with. 6A0D33F5-8B01-452F-A3E6-13600FD44D20.jpegBB0AC889-B6CA-4591-B345-870D5E02C45B.jpegCF955DF9-9C99-4804-A2C8-4ABCAE78B97D.jpegD0F37130-83FD-4DCF-BE9E-805A29E89EA3.jpeg

Thank you for posting all the info Rush. Really helped me out. As I was not patient, I got my hands on an RZ and went to my local Ace hardware to get the M4 screws you posted. I actually ended up getting the socket cap and the rounded. I have not shot yet but the zero process was easy and I had no idea that the RZ used a motion to wake. Anyway, thank you for contributing.

I just put two nuts on the non-Sig 365 m-4 screws that came with the site and ground them down to install mine. I did buy the same screws you did from Tractor Supply and I have been thinking about how those taller caps might aid in sight alignment. :)
Just put a dab of luminescent paint on the back of each cap and see if it helps in bringing up the sight alignment faster in low or no light conditions. When my battery dies, I'm going to try it. That paint is easily removed if it adds no value!
