The ultimate motorcycle road race, with different classes. One rider died this last year.

The Brits/Irish/Scots like racing on regular roads. And across the channel they run on some great venues. There's lots of those on MAVTV.

I’ve see some horrific wreck videos from these races on isle of man. You have to have a special kind of nerve to race like that.

What’s never discussed or tracked is the injuries and deaths of spectators that line the routes of this race when riders go down and their motorcycles plow into the crowds of people.

Getting the event coordinated and then having the locals cooperate is a great undertaking.
Some years back during the annual Toys For Tots MC Ride, (same route/time for decades) some unlicensed, uninsured resident dimwit drove across the procession of bikes, even though traffic was controlled by barricades and traffic aides and plowed into a rider.

Never had that happen at a Isle of Mann.

Get tires with enough side bite and you can get real low. I've scraped my knees a few times as getting under 30* at 130 mph and that was plenty fast enough. About 1k over redline was near 155. I've only done that twice. What a doner!

I believe that to accomplish things such as this takes a certain sort of "Lack of Imagination." I suppose if one thought what it would be like to hit the side of a brick building (which I saw one year, during this race) at speeds of around 200 miles per hour. Many would not even attempt to do this. Just an opinion

They must have 'brass nads', they've surely got nothin' in their heads! I'm an old biker enthusiast over many years, and this doesn't even seem real to me. This is pure insanity!!!!!

I used to race sport bikes in my younger days but nothing this extreme. These guys really do have some huge brass balls.

Try gearing down without a chain or having the chain bind up the rear wheel at those speeds. Dirt bikes aren't as bad.
