Lol just thinking about this the other day. My best friend Don and I decided that one year our annual week bowhunting trip in the UP would not be at the cabin , but instead truck camping for adventure. The third amigo dad, was ok with it. Don and I spent like a month building a removeable bed in the truck bed. It had removable storage lids under and a nice 8 inch thick sheet of foam for the bed.
So time came we went up and we had everything even a nice Coleman stove. We forgot nothing we were in luxury that first night. Then it started raining and raining and we found the one thing we did not think of. Condensation, the roof of the cap collected the Condensation and rained down on us every moment. After the third day, completely soaked inside and out, we gave in and threw everything in the truck to head the hour to the cabin.
We hopped in the truck and click click, the battery was dead. Don looked at us and said, "We are gonna die out here" lol of course this caused quite the nervous laughs. Which because in the Upper where we went, that's not entirely out of the realm of possibility.
Then I noticed we were parked on a hill and dons truck was a stick . A quick push later we were on our way to cLean dry beds...
Ah memories, all that is left of those days since they are both gone now.
