Miyamoto Musashi Wisdom

"One-thousand hours of handgun training to forge,
ten-thousand hours of range practice to refine.
But a gunfight is decided in a split second."

I really love Clint-ism that gunfights are often won with mediocre shooting, but that we must train to magnificence so that we can fail to mediocrity.

Similarly, Joe Weyer of the Alliance PD Training Facility and John "Chappy" Chapman of Forge Tactical are both ardent practitioner of the "perfect practice makes perfect" dogma, citing that "gunfights are won by millimeters and in milliseconds."

“A thousand days of training to develop, ten thousand days of training to polish. You must examine all this well.”

― Miyamoto Musashi, The Complete Book of Five Rings
