There is presently a very large and stable population of “super feral boars” in Canada and they are venturing further South every year (eventually directly into Minnesota and North Dakota in the US).

Frankly, I'm surprised we haven't seen them here in SoDak by now, not from the north down necessarily, but from the south up. Granted we have some pretty open country around here which might slow them down a bit, but I would think the breaks along the Missouri River would be a choice location for them.
