I found a link to Spring Armory with discounts for NRA instructors, has anyone bought a firearm through this program?
 
I have - got my hellcat that way. It's a nice deal. You create an account at springfieldnra.com, order your gun of choice, and provide them with a copy of the FFL paperwork for the dealer where you want it shipped.

Springfield's by far not the only company that offers discounts to instructors. I've gotten quite a few good deals over the years because of those instructor credentials.

Thank you. I saw the link when I was checking my expiration. I saw other links. I have asked at hotels before about NRA discounts. No one has affirmed yet.

Lots of other gun and equipment makers offer nice discounts. Daniel Defense, Sig, Ruger, Vortex, and Burris I know for certain. Last time I bought a scope Burris gave me 50% off.

Congrats on the 1911.
