Rear Site is way off center.

I don't know how this happen,I haven fired this S&W 40VE in a few years I never notice the rear site being this far of center.Here is a couple of picture of the pistol. You may have to enlarge the picture to really see how far the rear site is off center.

Take a polymer/delrin punch and tap it over. You can tap it all the way out the goob some red locktite in the dovetail. Tap thesight back in, center and clean it up And call it a day. Warning do not remove the front if it is one of the older versions with the melted in place front sight. It will have to go back to SW for a factory install.

Didn’t know the early ones had the front site melted in like that, thanks for the info, good to know.
Oh yea they insert the front sight in the top like a glock front, but then use a sonic tool to melt the base on the inside were the screw would go on a Glock. But they changed so long ago no one has replacements anymore except SW. They will not sell you one, you have to send the slide in and they charge you 50 bucks. We had to do that for a couple local customers.
