Replacement sight

I am getting closer to 60 and my eyes aren’t what they used to be. How or where can I get a tritium or white dot sight to replace the fiber front sight on my 1911 Range Officer Compact .45 ACP?

If you don’t like the fiber...I’d say look at a set of Trijicon HD; tritium only helps at night, but the bright orange or yellow big dot should pop out at you.

What part of town you are in? I am sure you can find a shop near by that should be open.

I’d check Brownells.

If you are going to have a gunsmith do the fitting, he could just order them, too.

Might want to look at Meprolight Bullseye sight. Is both fiber optic and tritium. Replaces rear sight. When you dot in center of sight you will be on target. I have old eyes too. Comes in green or red. Put one on my Glock 30 .45 ACP and it is amazing. I believe it was developed in Isreal. Just Google Meprolight Bullseye sight.

Correct...but I’m pretty sure they’re Novak-cut dovetails...or pretty close. Minor fitting would be involved.
