Mine's the Milspec 1911, and I use ProMag 8rd flush mags; 1 in the gun and 2 in my pouch (with 3 more in the range bag)... The grips are the Springfield "U.S." style walnut, but I have plain walnut, cocobolo "cross cannon" grips, and the spare plastic "cross cannon" grips as well.

My holsters for it are a Blackhawk Improved Serpa Level 2 Retention OWB for EDC, I also have a Fobus paddle holster Level 1 (friction) retention, and a J.N. Ingle Leather snap holster & twin mag pouch with Ostrich accents.

This is my Professional, As soon as I got it I coated it. Yes I took a gun that I waited for almost two years and some consider a perfect gun and I messed with it. Satin Black and an Anodized FDE frame, the grips were from a company called Cool Hand Grips on Amazon for 30.00. Oh can it shoot....

This is one of my EDC guns, started out as a plain Jane TRP. I coated the frame in Gunkote Grey (this was before SA offered the same thing from the factory now, wonder were they got the idea) flat Black other parts. Dehorned the slide, kick ass trigger job right at 3.5#. Cut and flattened the tip of the slide stop. And topped it off with a set of Truglo TFX sights ( the Colt Novak ones people say don’t fit SA 1911’s). And yes it shoots like a bat out of hell!

Last of the 1911 gun porn for the night, but I can keep going. This is a Chris Kyle special edition TRP. Interesting fact some knowledgable people at Springfield know were Chris’s personal TRP is. Last I heard it is still in police custody, but it was arranged that after the police release it, it will head back to the mothership to be preserved. Bottom pick is from my first edition of American Sniper, that Chris signed Just a couple months before his murder. In this special edition 1911 it comes with a printing of the book. It would be amazing to get Taya’s signature in it. This one has never been shot, and it is such a safe queen that the slide has only been racked once after I got it from the factory. Debated to shoot it or not

XD Man, that Professional is pretty sweet! My first 1911 was a Range Officer 1911 Loaded Lightweight model with two-piece guide rod, night sights and accessory rail. I’ve shot thousands of rounds through this pistol; it’s 100% Reliable and just as accurate as my Dan Wesson.
I’m currently saving for a 9mm EMP for concealed carry, would be interested to hear feedback from any EMP owners.

I really like those Grips to MsMelissa , Matter of fact - Surfing right now ,

Rock Island Armory . storm lake machine barrel, 24# lock up spring, mercury filled guide rod. Added Novak's low drag rear sight and high viz front sight, added Hogue wrap around grip(ebay $18.00). Replaced my Colt Officers model(now lives in the safe). All my internals swapped right over. Never has seen factory ammo in its life. I don't worry about extra assignments as say someone with a very expensive 1911 maybe hesitant to do .

I have a 3" EMP in 9mm. Very easy to carry, very reliable. Came from the factory with a front sight that was way too tall, causing me to shoot low with it consistently. I replaced the front sight with a lower Dawson fiber optic. It doesn't shoot the greatest groups, but I still like it a lot.
