Went to location that had XD-M ops and no 9mm shown. Is it not available? Also did not see any one that had Vortex included in the calibers shown. Would the 13 round XD9 mags fit the XD-m ops?

XD9 and XDm9 mags are not interchangeable.

To bad I have 2 XD9s and about a dozen mags. Do you know if I could get a slide for the 9s that allow for optics?

There’s really not an aftermarket for XD’s like there is for Glocks, unfortunately.
Your best option would be to get the slide machined for an optic, or find someone who is selling one.

If Tommy want's too be perfect, then get a 10mm! Like Hans stated, Unfortunate for those who don't own Glocks! 
My XDMs have been solid guns, but with the adjustable sights there is no room for mrd optics. Too bad on the none interchangeability though? Good too know before you buy when you have extra mags!

Thanks for all the info. Will check on slide option and look at Seg 365 which I have seen advertised with a vortex.

Some Ranges rent suppressors you can try on your XDM Elite try some subsonic rounds it's like a bb gun you will love it.
