i been to Davenport, IA back in my earlier trucking days. was gonna get a job at the now long defunct PST flatbed.

i seem to recall when i was there, they partied with the cows and sows....

I'd be down. It's not too far from me. I generally avoid Iowa like the plague, but I would make an exception.

Neither Springfield or Peoria is very close to Geneseo. Peoria does, however, have a far better cornucopia of restaurants and night life.

Moline and Rock Island are closer than Davenport by the way. Geneseo does have The Cellar restaurant which is surprisingly good but not much for motels.
