I soon have a TRP CC AOS .45 arriving. I already have a Trijicon RMR Type 2 to put on it. I also already have the A14B RMR plate (ordered it a year ago when I ordered my Emissary .45 AOS - decided I didn’t need an optic on the Emissary (so now I have a 507CX2 sitting in a closet
).
The AOS plate has 2 screws in the bag with the plate. Everything I’ve read says I use the screws holding cover plate to gun to mount plate to slide - easy enough.
Where I get lost is how I will mount the RMR to the RMR plate. Do I use the screws that came with the AOS plate? Do I use screws in the RMR box? Do I need different screws? I have literally read all three of those solutions are the correct one, so again
.
I’ve mounted lots of Holosun optics and usually just order screws I need when I decided which optic I was mounting on which gun. Holosun screws and Holosun fitment guides are everywhere that tell you exactly what screws you need for what gun. Trijicon not so much.
What I am hoping is one of you folks have mounted an RMR on a TRP CC AOS and can give me the correct answer! And yes, I know I could probably call Trijicon, but where’s the fun in that?
