Visitor in my city this morning…….

Had a new visitor this morning, less then 2 blocks from where I live…….black bear walking up the street in front of our police dept.

Fact: Bears can smell a Hickory Farms mall salami store two counties away.
Fact: Bears don’t walk, they lumber.
Fact: Bears ignore Don’t Feed the Bears signs.

‘I am told this is a black bear. I’ve never seen a black bear. I never had one in any place I’ve ever lived. It is terrifying. I don’t know what it’s for, or what its purpose is. Like, food scraps? Like, is this environmentally sound?’

as for fact 3.......they do not ignore the "do not feed the bears signs"....cuz many times, being forgetful, they leave thier reading glasses in the den.

i had read way too many articles just in my local papers, that many times, wild life ventures out beyond thier area due to food, loss of thier area due to urban sprawl, as at least 2 reasons. there most likely are more, but i cannot remember, i woke up from my nap, in my den, forgot my reading glasses, and am wearing my wife's reading glasses, and she's going nuts, looking for them....
