XD-S 40 cal

I’ve got an XD-S OSP 9mm and I love it but need one in a 40 S&W.

Anyone know if they will be releasing one in the OSP version in forty? I wouldn’t mind an XD-M OSP in forty either.

Probably not.

Very few companies are releasing new models in .40 anymore (other than S&W).

You may want to look at the PC Shields in .40.

IF, and it's a huge if, things go sideways for gunowners and we get restrictive gun legislation that sticks, things may change for the .40. Magazine restrictions may make the .40 more appealing again. Same amount of cartridges, say 10 max, in the same size gun as a 9mm might just increase its waning popularity.

Not saying it would, but I heard a lot of that argument in the past as an argument in favor of the. 40 in restrictive areas.

Glock still produces the G22 and G23 if your not a S&W fan, I really like my S&W SD40VE, great shooter and a good price for them.

No, not really, there just options I thought I would throw out, not to many .40’s out there right now, like you said the S&W Shield may be his only answer if he wants one the size of a XDs

I have a PC Shield in .40. It's a nice little carry gun. The sights are great. Feels great in my hand and shoots well. Perfect for when it's very important not to print at all. Normally I carry the M 2.0 Shield .45 though.
