Your problem here is that you didn't have a friend to steer you to a better choice. Now that you know and understand the error of your ways, unload those rascals on other uninitiated first time buyers. Or, you could take them to your local gun shop and trade up for a Springfield product.

I had so many malfunctons from SCCY's and Taurus in my firearm classes that disrupted the course of fire that they became a hazard. You have to be lucky to get one that is dependable. If a student showed up with one I would tell them we don't allow them and loan them a SIG or Glock for the course, or a S&W if it was a revolver. Gunshops that push this junk should be ashamed of themselves, but then most sales clerks are not shooters and don't know.

If you buy a defensive pistol based on the lowest price, you have your piorites mixed up.
