What plate or adapter did you have to use?
I have a Glock 17 Gen 5 that utilizes mos, then I have Ruger RXM that has standard rmr cut.
Thanks
The SRO is on a SA1911 AOS using an Agency Arms adapter plate, One EPS on SA Echelon no plate, three on S&W M&P's using supplied plates from Holosun. The Sig optic was a direct mount onto my Sig P-226. Haven't decided yet to put a dot on my P-229 if I do will probably be another Holosun EPS. The Sig Romeo X Enclosed pro optic is more expensive than the SRO.

Does anyone here run a

Holosun HS507COMP?

Thoughts and what optics do you run on your handguns?

Thanks
Just curious, i've never seen one but I'm online at Holosun looking at the specs for the HS507COMP and to my surprise it says it has "Video Recording : Internal". I don't see anything about it in it's downloaded manual so I'm guessing this is a misprint in the specs. Am I wrong?

I have two Holosun HE507K-GR X2, one is on my Echelon and the other is on my Masada S. I carry the Masada most of the time, but I like to mix it up. Sometimes I use a dot, sometimes I don't. I like to exercise my eyes with irons now and then. If I do go further with dots, it won't be bigger.

What are you using it for. The Comp is very large. I’d use it on a range gun but CCW just too big.
To break into the world of red dots on a handgun.
I’m one of the few hold outs left.
I owned an Aimpoint Acro 2 briefly and did not like it. I’m thinking I need to start with a larger window then work towards a smaller footprint/window.
I’ll be putting on G17 or 19’s for the time being.

Might I suggest more than just a dot, try one with a circle/dot. It helps my old eyes find the reticle itself and get on target.

This is the Holosun HS507C X2 reticle.

Sig Romeo 1 pro 3MOA DOT on sig, Trijicon SRO 5MOA DOT on Staccato, Votex Defender XL 5MOA DOT on Prodigy.

If you are new to red dots a double reticle is really handy because you can go from the dot circle to the dot as you feel comfortable with it. You may want to have a look at a red and a green dot if possible. A lot of people find the green dot more comfortable.
This. My suggestion is a Holosun 507 GR. Whichever one fits the footprint of your gun/plate. I have Cs and Ks and like them both. The reds are good for shotguns and rifles, but I have found that for pistols or probably anything that indoors might be a thing, the green dots are better for me. Really they're probably better for shotguns and pistols too but I could go broke replacing all the red ones I have on all those guns with green ones.
