My first S&W 686 had the serial # AAA0110, got it off a S&W sales rep, it was the 110th gun off the first production line

The cheap 15+ round mags didnt sit in magwell properly and didnt feed.
The short box mags did well.
No issues cycling them

A lot of those 15 round mags came from Korea and when I worked at LGS we always had problems with them. Glad it worked great for you. They are decent rifles.
