What are you doing right now??

Hi,

Tuesday had to drive north 100 miles for wife's follow-up cancer visit. 8 weeks ago now. Oral carcinoma. Removed her lower left jaw and replaced it with the tibia from her left leg. Removal of partial upper jaw and part of soft palate too. Getting old is for the birds. She doesn't drink or smoke. Had a cracked tooth that started it all.

Oh my. This is news to me. I will put Mrs. Musashi on my prayer list. Lord have mercy.

Thank you for your indulgence,

Hi,

I've had a full day. Morning workout, afternoon gig, then mowed the lawn. Now I'm watching a western while I finish this before going horizontal.

Hi,

I know you're proud but I also know it could be a little bit bittersweet. All the best to your college girl.

Finally arrived for a bite to eat before going to the hotel. Thanks @BassCliff ! She's a band nerd and is already starting marching band tomorrow afternoon. 11 days before 1st day of school and will be practicing Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 9:30pm for these next 10 days. The 14th is from 2 to 9:30. When school starts it's just regular times.

That's pretty fantastic. I was a band nerd myself, orchestra, jazz band, pep band, wind ensemble, etc, from junior high through college and beyond. I made many good friends and memories in marching band. ;)

No and couldn't care less apparently. Never called or heard back from technicians. It's 80 degrees inside the house at 3am!
Our back AC was quitting a couple summers ago at the hottest times. A fairly new unit and aggravatìng. We learned that moss and algae was building up and clogging the condensation drain pipe, which caused the drain pan under the air handler to fill up. There is a float switch in there that shuts the AC off so the unit doesn't flood the house with condensation water. Who would have thought? It is amazing how much water pours out of that pipe all summer long. The techs blew the pipe out with compressed air. A shot of simple green and clorox down the drain pipe now and again solved our problem. Maybe not your problem but it is common. Hope you get chilled soon.

got the sheets in the drier now, and just loaded up my range bag, for a trip to the public range. i usually go there on tuesdays but for some messed up reason (they claim maintenance and upgrades) are being done on tuesdays....
like what, they close at 8 PM on sundays, then stay closed on mondays........

oh well, taking my G-17 and some reloads.

gonna be an overcast day, but muggy as all hell too

gonna be fun in a range with NO a/c, like my club..........do i sound spoiled..??

when it cost MORE to be a member of the public range over a private club membership..????

Sittin here waitin on Tuesday cause i can't go anywhere or do anything cause i'll pee all over myself.
not so much when i had stones, but when i had to have a prostate ablation, i had to wear a bag, strapped to my ankle...the blasting of the stones was a "piece of cake"...wearing that bag was pure MURDER...that damm catheter, coming out of my ding-dong, tugging, hurt more than having a baby, which i wish i was having, instead of that damm bag...

then came time to empty it.....leg up on toilet, hanging foot over toilet, then unscrewing the cap........

oh yea bro......good frigging times......

i might need another ablation, by springtime..........

i stocking up on anti pregnancy patches.

i hate labor pains.

Yeah drain pipe is clean and draining. When i looked at it yesterday afternoon the high side pipes had ice all over it in 100 degree heat. It has a coolant issue. Either the compressor is shot or the heat exchanger. Problem is company that installed it hasn't called me back to even come and look at it. I purchased from them because company is veteran owned and owner served with me in Japan. The customer service is horrible! I am at a loss for words but i'm getting ready to find them when i drive over there to talk to him. I want to give them a chance but...... it's already 85 degrees in the house and my patience is getting short.

Bleach 1x a month during summer is what we do. Had clogs before and once we started 1x month from June-Oct, have had no issues

I'm sitting in my friend's living room catching up on TAL. Cleaned out about 500+ emails (garbage mostly) and paid a couple of bills online. We had a wicked thunderstorm shoot through here at about 06:30. Woke me up for a minute, but I fell back to sleep to the sound of the rain. Now there's standing water in their yard. The sun is shining and there a wind, so it should dry up in short order.

Not much on the agenda today. There are some friends coming over this afternoon from my campus cop days, it will be fun to catch up with them. Later we might go hiking on the Rockwood Trail. It's not a real "trail" per se, as it's asphalt...but it is through the woods and close to the quarry. I have needed this for a long time. Next time won't be two years out 😉 😎.

Sounds like a good hang. I might skip away to the range in a little while. Then I can work on my honey-do list this weekend.

Going to docs today, pulled my right leg calf muscle Saturday, felt like a hot poker when it occurred, I could barely do stairs for past few days, still tender but its has pinkish color and slightly warm to the touch right at the sock line, hope I didn’t tear anything and I can’t take any inflammatory pain meds….

It sucks for sure when the house stays that temp or close to it for days. 2 years ago when I was banned from this forum we were w/o ac for 3+ months with inside never dropping below 85 and got as high as 92. A few times we managed to get it down to 78.

Evap coils iced over? Sounds like refrigerant issue like you said.
