No, I don't need it. Yes, I may buy it. Used Sig 320. Need your advice...

I actually saw this Sig 320 before buying my 365 XMacro.

It's not on the CA Roster and as such is sold with no magazine(s).

I ran the SN at Sig and it came up either previously "upgraded" or not affected.

Whatever.

The question is price. It's $499. Remember, I'm in CA and this would be a gun store sale.

Does $499 strike you as reasonable? The gun is EX-LE and appears to be in excellent condition.

Any advice or thoughts would be much appreciated.

Cheers.

LGS has a brand new M17 for 475 right now and had had it a while. BUT if you like being awake all night then buy it. cause they go off all night long by themselves. rarely can i sleep through the extremely loud popcorn noise coming from the safe. but to answer your question, 499 is way too high for a used one, now in California it may be a different story.

Welcome to the forum. The P320 has been getting a lot of bad press lately, perhaps you're aware of the controversy. For that particular used gun, it does not seem like a really great deal. But I'll confess that I have overpaid once or twice just because it was there and I wanted it. ;)

I do not own a Sig P320.

Thank you for your indulgence,

Yes, sir.

I am aware of the P320 drama but it doesn’t trouble me. I just stick to my life-long habit of not dropping my firearms. Plus, per Sig, this specific gun was either not affected by the issue or was previously updated. I like the gun, fits my hand, etc. Since I posted, my own research finds few 320s much cheaper. I could buy one new for about $100 more but I kinda like the used one; has character.

Thank you for your input. I appreciate it!

Cheers,

Luc

I have two of the old school 320's that i finally after years sent in to get the upgrade done. well to put your mind at ease a little i tried everything the youtubers done to make theirs go off and mined never did. now i never dropped it on concrete like some of them did. i beat on the slide with my hand and wiggled the slide around for a good bit. never went off. now that don't mean all of them are like this.

Do that many people really drop loaded firearms?

I bought my first gun in 1983 and I’ve never dropped one, loaded or empty. I am striving to go my entire life w/o dropping one or having an AD.

Fingers crossed!

Dropping on concrete? Even if it didn’t discharge it’s bound to be damaged, cosmetically if not functionally.

Do people really think so little of a fine firearm?

A couple of the firearms instructors I know have 320s, one of them uses it in competition. They chalk up the drama to holster issues and unintentional trigger pulls.

My wife is a Sig girl; she has a 320 X Compact, among others. Besides being a little snappy for her, no issues. As to the price, it seems a little steep for used, but if you've researched it in your area, it's all good.

i have a P-320, i got new, and love it..

its a shooter (no pun intended) and i could not be any happier with mine.

but to be fair, it is just one of my range toys as well.

i am not sure of pricings in YOUR area, for a NIB P-320, so check around first for a new one.

otherwise, if none are available for nearly same price..??

i know i'd grab it.

that Sig may have had any updated parts to prevent unwanted discharges, or as the serial number indicated, it was NOT involved in any recall(s).

Thanks for letting me be part of the conversation. You know the biggest and best safety is the one between your ears. ;)

I am a new Sig owner, a 1911-X. I'm hoping to pick it up tomorrow. I needed just one Sig for my little collection.

"Un-commanded discharge"? Yeah, no. I'm a little skeptical. I do feel bad for those injured.

You are going to love that 1911. They make a fine 1911.
