Can’t even get rid of my Glock 45 MOS with GPT, a Swampfox Liberty II, and optics height sights…

I'd try to sell it on GB. I've purchased a number of items on GB with great success. When I bid, I always figure out the total cost including the FFL on my end. I typically check out prices online and bid $200 to $300 less than buying it elsewhere. If I win it, great. If I don't, I'll keep on shopping.

How you might luck out is I've seen a ton of people that either really, really, want the firearm I've bid on, or they are idiots that get caught up in a bidding war only to spend far more than they'd spend for a comparable firearm from their local dealer. You might luck out and sell to the latter.

To keep from taking a total bath, list it with a reserve so you at least get what you think you want should someone buy it.

Damn sorry to hear op. As stated several times in this thread it might be best to hang on to your g45 at this time. I know I East of Dallas I'm picking up lightly used to new but never shot outside of the factory g19 gen 3's and g17's for $275 to $325.00. Guess what my kids and oldest almost might as well be daughter and her husband are getting for Xmas ? People are dumping their glocks. You know this though.

It has to be unique enough for me to get into a bidding war. My XDm elite 5.25” in 10MM I kinda got into a bidding war because who else would sell a slightly used one. Honestly I think it was fair enough to say I didn’t spend over 650 for it in total BUT I’m not getting rid of it any time soon because I love it.

It seemed that most people did… I’m only selling it because it is redundant, I want the money for something else, and I’m no longer doing GSSF.

It’s like selling a used vehicle that you bought brand new. I sold my G43X because it was a POS that had issues and always got into arguments with people on G-IQ about it. I even had a discussion about it the other day at my LGS and the guy said I got the “used” market value of it when I didn’t do a trade. Nothing sells like the way we want it because we have a relationship with the stuff we bought. I understand standard not wanting to do GSSF anymore since I don’t have anything near me to participate in and their matches are over an hour or two away. The certificate I have still hasn’t been turned in because I got the G23.5 I wanted besides waiting for it.

I’m trying to get rid of my GSSF pistol, as I’m no longer wanting to be associated with Glock and my LGS won’t even give me an offer not to offend me… Yeesh… I gave the value it was worth and my asking price, which was fair in terms of value, expecting that I’d get more along the lines of the low side (taking a small loss)… I just want to subsidize my next purchase. What I wanted was even a loss on it now that I think about it... I hate the thought of using Gunbroker, as it would be a pain logistically or putting it on consignment, which frequently takes a while.
You might try Guns.com to see what they offer. I sold some old guns to them and they were pretty fair but they are in business to make money

Thanks! Didn’t even think of that! Oh, also, my $800 asking price is actually pretty low with a plain MOS one being $700-ish and the sights being $100, optic $150, and GPT being $100. I’m hoping I can get that much from it. I told them it was worth $1200, I wanted $1000 to negotiate to $800. Then again, if everyone knows that’s how to negotiate, then the first offer is never serious.

I'm thinking 50% or less if you really need to move. You are talking little money- people spend that difference on cigarettes and Starbucks every two weeks. The reality is that there is a glut in the marketplace right now and many new pieces can be had for <$700, just look at Palmetto's inventory for instance. Being in finance in a past life, I saw many lose fortunes because of sentimentality and unwillingness to cut their losses. In the end, the stress isn't worth it. Be decisive, get it over with and get back to happiness brother!

Right here is what friends have shown me or told me. Personally I know everything I own isn’t going to catch MSRP because it left the building.

Any extras will not increase the guns worth, I highly doubt you’ll get that price, I have been wheelin dealin guns for over 40 years, those extras mean nothing in resale. I personally think you going overboard with Glock, Ruger basically did similar years ago, but you seem ok with them, Glock did nothing that any other manufacturer would have done to keep themselves in business, those lawsuits wouldn’t eventually catch up with them, yea, they shouldn’t have caved, but it’s a business choice, there decision has nothing to due with anti 2nd amendment rights like your referring to. I own Glocks, Sig’s, S&W and Ruger, I have no reservation with owning or shooting them.

Unfortunately, not everything is a great investment. I once bartered my time and talent for a Glock, kept it for about 14 years and never shot it. It was ugly. Sold it to a friend when I wanted to offset the cost of my first hellcat. I now have 4 of those little beasts and pro beasts in various stages of customization/configuration.
Moral to be learned. Feed to beast.

Bill Ruger is long dead.

Damn, figured a comp pistol is worth more than stock, at least they sell them for more. I guess that is regarding internals more, as some people might want a holosun rather than a Swampfox or the tritium sights.
