What are you doing right now??

What a beautiful day it is! All critters and me fed breakfast.

Yesterday helped building my daughter's deck till we ran out of materials. One stage at a time.

Today it's into the shop to trim up and install cabinet door hinges, then sanding for 3 days.

It's too nice a day to stay inside all day so I may sneak out to my range for some practice in a bit. I did a small pistol class yesterday but have not shot my pistol since Wednesday, and I'm getting twitchy...

100 rds of .45 down the pipe, very cathartic.

Another coolish morning. It has warmed up to 16 whole degrees from the 11 it was when I got up. Wind is out of the south this time but it doesn't make it feel any warmer...feels like 5 degrees right now. I'm about ready for wine and flip flops right about now, instead I have the fireplace going with my fuzzy slippers on.

The husband got home early this morning...around 2AM. Takes him a long time to wind down so he's still sleeping. I'm just finishing up my chores and scrolling here. I really miss range time, perhaps next Friday if life doesn't go sideways again 😎.

I am sending prayers for your kitty @TEXASforLIFE. As was previously mentioned, animals are very resilient and highly adaptable creatures. As long as there are no complications and he heals well, he should be able to adapt to his new normal. ❤️ Sending prayers for that healing.

Went chootin again just wanted to get dot sighted in and try out the FRT.

Hi,

Awaiting noon so I can go to the range.

I just got back from making a quick range trip right after church. At church the worship team parks just off the lot to leave more room for the congregants. It looked a little bit like Iceland this morning at 7:30am, about 16°.

There's a big corn field just on the other side of those little hills. Most of this was melted by the time church was over. I think we're just about to turn the corner into spring, but I'm not placing any bets.

@TEXASforLIFE, my daughter had a tripod Golden Husky that thrived for 15 years. It was a wonderful dog. I'm sure your kitty will be fine once everything is all healed up.

Mrs. BassCliff just got home so I'm going out to hunt and gather for us. Maybe I'll put up a little range report later while I'm doing laundry. It was only a 100 round session, so not much to see. ;)

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

The issue he'll have is the recovery time. He likes being outside and keeping him inside will be a chore. After he recovers (hopefully he'll live thru this) will be letting him go outside and not being able to keep an eye on him. When he comes and goes for days and sometimes up to months at a time makes it a challenge knowing if he's ok.

Thanks to all for your responses

Maybe after this he will like to stay home. I would at least try to keep him as an inside cat. I will think of him in my prayers tonight.

There's a young female cat that both left feet are in the same ir worse way than his. We can't catch her, but looks like 1 foot is severed snd hanging on by some skin. She has been this way for maybe 2 weeks and somehow climbs trees. She eats and drinks still and seems perky. Not sure what these cats are getting into or doing fir this to happen? A vet that used to work for my parents 40 years ago lives in this area, but doesn't do small animals.

Thanks for caring and hope all is good for Magie and your family!
