Very nice. Nice finish overall. Colt has really improved the fit and Series 80 trigger since my last Colts 40 yrs ago (Series 70 & 80 Gold Cups) which were very loose & had crappy triggers.

Crisp safety but will be replaced with an Ed Brown Slim Ambi. Putting an Ed Brown extended mag release & a Wilson extended slide release but all those parts haven't arrived yet. Will also replace the OEM grip panels with Super Scoop VZ G10's. And will put a Wilson add-on magwell on it.

Completed & submitted my $100 rebate form. Thanks Colt !!

More upgrade parts arrived.

The Wilson Combat extended slide release was just a drop in with no fitting need.

The Ed Brown ambi safety will need my gunsmith, and I'll save the Ed Brown extended mag release for him too although I could do it.

Still waiting for the new VZ grips and Wilson mag well so they'll likely get here next week. Then off to the gunsmith for for the ambi safety install, and the "throat & polish" job.

I ordered a Tisas MAC pistol I am planning on my own custom build but I'm going to do some testing and updates on this one probably a new bushing maybe have the barrel hood welded up if needed and planning on stamping the parts like they did on the original guns then refinished with nitride should come in by Tuesday.
