Hi,

It's time to get horizontal. I had a good class at the range today. It's been a while since I've used my Mod.3 with optic and my new gloves took some getting used to. At least they did not slow me down on our timed drills. Full range report tomorrow. Be brave. Do good.

Looking good.

Had my 6 month VA doc appointment today, what a joke. Signed in at the front desk took a seat waiting to be called. Went with a nurse where she told me my dr had left the VA and they didn't have a dr to see me. All she did was take my vitals told me to stop by check-out desk. Was given another appointment later this month providing there is a dr available. This new clinic in Victoria is very large must have 15-20 exam rooms, no doctors, no radiology or pharmacy. Usually I'm not one to gripe very much but this stuff is over the top.

Even though I am VA 100% P&T disabled, I kept my federal employee health insurance going when I retired, just because I don't trust the VA. My plan is to keep my insurance so my youngest child (she is 24) can still be covered until she is 26, so she can save her money instead of having to pay for her own plan. Then I was thinking of dropping my health insurance and go 100% with the VA for myself. My wife is already on CHAMP VA as a secondary, but she could make that her primary if I drop my private insurance. It would save me almost a thousand dollars a month by dropping my health insurance. But I may just keep it, just because I don't know how well the VA is for health care around the Corpus Christi area, where I am near.

Pretty much the same with me. The wife & have a very good Medicare supplement plan no co-pays, deductibles. I mean we don't pay for anything and at $565.00 a month for both of us is really great. I'm required to have 6 month appointments to continue receiving VA medications. Some of my meds are very expensive so I'll keep the appointments. Our supplement is with Mutual of Omaha Plan "F".

That is why I have NOTHING to do with the VA. They can suck eggs.
