This is in no way surprising....
Biden, almost by design a one-term prez, is scratching the gun-grabbers itch the same as he will every other special interest that voted him in.
Congress will be rather more cautious; they’ve seen the hit that comes with the midterms before when GC comes up.

The situation is still serious, though. Encourage everyone u know to write their Congress-person (keep it succinct) both state and DC. They DO keep track of constituents’ demands...Above all, Vote in the next gen election.

Every time Biden claims that he, "beat the NRA" with the legislation he proposed, we need to loudly point out that his "victory" was related to the 1994 Crime Bill that the SJW's now blame for the over-incarceration of minorities. Regardless of your feelings on the effectiveness of the Crime Bill, we need to constantly remind Biden's base that his agenda has always hurt them in the past. His proposal is clearly unconstitutional, but he will not be deterred until his blue base starts to turn on him.

I actually want him to overreach instead of eroding with subtle things people don't fight, I want him to go all out and get nothing either by congressional division or the courts striking it all down and effectively making "progressive" gun illiteracy abolished from political theater for decades to come.

Not only that, but when has a "progressive" looked back at the past as the good ol days? Aren't they always supposed to be forward thinking?

If the laws of 1994 worked why have they been either allowed to expire or faced bipartisan criticism for their effects on society?

Here's a link to an article about Biden's plans for more gun control efforts:

And below here's a couple paragraphs from the above article that shows not all those unfortunately affected by the Parkland shooting are as convinced as Biden and his cronies of the need nor effectiveness of more gun control, acknowledging guns are not the problem. This is a brave and moral man! The bolding, itilicizing and coloring of his words are mine.

Ryan Petty, whose daughter Alaina was 14 when she was killed in the shooting, addressed the president in a tweet Sunday.

“Mr. President, thank you for remembering the loved ones taken from us 3 years ago,” he wrote. “Alaina loved this country and the freedoms it guarantees. Common sense tells us that honoring her life does not require infringement on the rights of law-abiding citizens.

In an interview Sunday, Petty said the president’s proposals won’t prevent more tragedies.

It’s wrong to focus on the weapon,” said Petty, who is now a member of the state school board. “For those who understand what happened that day, there were mistakes. This was the most preventable school shooting in the history of our country. The warning signs were there. It was clear the killer had intentions to attack the school.”

Great article Joe!

Great article Joe!
What's really 'great' is Mr. Petty's 'clear minded' words to the POTUS with this ..... “Alaina loved this country and the freedoms it guarantees".

He is so right in that our constitution guarantees our individual FREEDOM, not our individual SAFETY. In fact our founder Benjamin Franklin once said: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."

No truer words were ever uttered. And agreeing to or accepting even the smallest, least significant infringement on our 2nd amendment is just that .......... 'giving up (real & true) essential Liberty, to purchase a little (perceived) temporary Safety' denies us all both liberty and safety.

Kudos to Mr. Petty..... a man who has been unalterably and unimaginably impacted by the tragic shooting in Parkland 3 years ago, yet has the intestinal fortitude to say the truth.

Edit: to change some wording

Tell me about it. RIght now that ignorant woman from The Trace is on PBS talking about Joe's speech. You know, because they wanted an "Expert".
I had to look up what "The Trace" was, good grief, it's worse than "Every Town".

These people really think that we're stupid and that they can gaslight us, that "right wing" conspiracies are fabricating talk of an attempt by Biden to confiscate guns, that we can't believe our own lying eyes and ears that he's explicitly said he wants to buy back guns and forbid more than ten round magazines, which he thinks itself is too much.
