Is that the one that uses Sig P320 mags? I really like the looks of that pistol if it works.

    1911 DS magwell

I looked at that one, but I liked the look of the DP and it’s hooking over the nose of the grip.

I have the Dawson Precision guide rod. I know 10-8 makes some nice stuff, but I like the design of DP better.

    1911 DS magwell

Ok, I get it, the gen 2 you didn’t need to file anything to install it. Nobody is answering the question I asked though. Is anyone filing the bottom of the grip to blend in with the Magwell?

I ended up filing the face of the optic plate and got it installed.

Sorry I didn’t take the best picture. I have it set all the way back in the dovetail. There is a ridge down the middle of the optic plate that keeps you from sliding in from the side.

    1911 DS magwell

Has anyone installed a mag well on their 1911 DS? If so, did you blend the grip module to the mag well? I installed the Dawson Precision gen 1. I definitely like the feel of it, the base of my hand sits right on it and has a nice tight feel. I did have to file down the ribs on the side of...

Anyone else running into this issue? I just got the optics plate in the mail today and went to install it. The RMR plate is about .010-.015 longer than the non optics and the A13B plate. I tried putting the RMR plate in the freezer and heating the slide up with a hair dryer but that still...

10-Round Hellcat Pro — The Best CCW Option for Restrictive Locales?

From what I’ve talked to my LGS’s, while it’s true it was ruled that way, it’s still gonna be years before it is truly removed, and don’t put it past California to have something else waiting in the wings that’s even more restrictive.

    Optic plate price

Prices vary online from as low as $35 to $129. Problem is, nobody has it in stock except for SA. I wanted an SRO for mine so I bit the bullet and purchased from SA. I did get 15% off when I registered the pistol. That’ll pay for the 2nd day shipping at least.

10-Round Hellcat Pro — The Best CCW Option for Restrictive Locales?

SA isn’t going to get this on the roster because they would have to pull off 3 of their other pistols. Only chances of getting this is buying the CA off roster tax and buy 2nd hand.

First Look: Springfield 1911 DS Prodigy 9mm

I’ll be picking up my 4.25 Prodigy on Monday. I was looking for the AOS plate for it being I have an RMR laying around that I can install. Went looking for the plate and nobody seems to have them in stock. Then I noticed that SA got them back in stock but jumped the price up to $129. That’s...
