First M16 Rifles in the Vietnam War

Is it true the Army messed with the ammunition enough that engineers had to change aspects of the action?

Was the Atomic Bombing of Japan Necessary?

Read that the B-29's used had British Lancaster bomb racks installed inside to handle the size of the bombs. The Japanese General in charge of defending Okinawa had a goal to create a river of American blood so great that we would not invade the home islands. Japan and Russia had a pact in...

    Reliable Snap Caps

Was wondering if folks here have experience with good snap caps for dry firing that don't break. The ones listed on Midway and other places seem to have problems with the fake primer collapsing, and the spring loaded ones fall apart. Anyone have reliable ones that work well? If Massad Ayoob...

Ayoob: The 1911’s Strengths (and Weaknesses)?

After reading, I had to check my CZ 75B SA in my Craft thumb-break holster. Thumb break doesn't snap if the hammer is cocked. Didn't get it to carry, but something I didn't know. Nothing like a Massad Ayoob article on Christmas morning waiting for the coffee to finish brewing.

Ayoob: Dangerous 1911 Mistakes I’ve Seen

So, the proper way for a firearm to be, say 15 "+1" is to load a round from a full magazine, then remove the magazine, top it off, and reinsert?

New Line Item On California Roster Of Handguns

Unfortunately, we all still live in California. Only ones back east are nephew and niece, and those don't qualify.

New Line Item On California Roster Of Handguns

Met my wife here and we had 4 kids(5 grandkids now). She was born and raised here, and I doubt she'd leave for anything. Stuck with me for over 21 years in the Navy(mostly gone at sea) raising those kids. Would never force her to move. Waiting patiently for things to appear on the roster.

New Line Item On California Roster Of Handguns

11% added on top of around 11% normal sales tax for firearms. The recent increase was from $1 to $5 for the check for ammo purchases. Makes people buy a good amount at once now.

How to Survive a Home Invasion

Tom Grieve had a video not long ago on YT where he stated that between in the home and on the property outside the home, that makes up 78 percent of defensive firearm uses.

How to Survive a Home Invasion

I think there are screeching alarms you can get for your door. Useful in motels/hotels, too. A security screen door can help keep the door from being kicked in.

    Choose Your Weapon, Wisely

Unfortunately, even in a situation like the one shown in the picture, there seem to be many that think using a firearm is wrong.

    Convair NB-36H Nuclear-Powered Bomber

The aircraft carriers can sail around without refueling, but the planes still use up JP-5 at a good rate.

    Convair NB-36H Nuclear-Powered Bomber

Definitely easier in Navy ships. They just used the reactor to replace the boiler. The rest of the plant was the same as before. On submarines the steam turbines replaced the diesel engines, negating the need to surface for air.

Springfield Armory at the SHOT Show

Last night I watched a YTer's video visiting booths at the Show. VERY nice presentation at the Springfield booth. However, the guy at the first booth he visited had the most important statement for me. They are working hard to get their firearms on the California Roster. I know Springfield is...
