I don't buy clear plastic magazines because they break far more often that black plastic. I don't know why that is, I don't work with plastics, but thats been my experience.

Everyone needs a J-frame. I have a Model 36. The 640 is great, but I want a Model 60 because I want an exposed hammer. Yes, I know why some people don't want an exposed hammer, that doesn't apply to me. Being able to single action should the need arise does.

Two things I learned about alligators when I moved to Florida. They can catch you if you run in a straight line. And alligators will come in a boat after a dog.

I’m familiar with Springfield handguns, but not their rifles. That 2020 bolt made in the USA (at Springfield in Illinois I assume??) here looks interesting. I wonder if they have plans to build a rimfire here?

There has been a lot of debate over this. I think because of people not keeping up on what's happening. As posted above, unless they find more somewhere else, the USGI Garands are gone. CMP is now making reproduction rifles out of parts they have others manufacturing.
