    10-8 Armorer Block

That is a neat way that I have NOT seen before. Doing that on my pistol pops the slide stop out on the left side just a little. I think I can get it out from there. Thx for the tip.

    Prodigy Slide Lock

Looks like a soLooks somewhat setup like mine. I have an OLight light on mine. Looks to be like a nice thumb rest on the EGW slide lock. Best pistol I have shot. My Prodigy is the COMP version.

    Prodigy Slide Lock

Does have over a 1000 rounds through it. This slide lock has been tight from the get go. My index fingers are not the best either for pulling the slide back and removing the slide lock. I have some arthritis going on for both of those fingers.

    Prodigy Slide Lock

I had to look up MIM. I guess the EGW part "should" be better then.

    Prodigy Slide Lock

Our slide stop is machined from solid (stronger than factory), it has a longer pin on it so it can be removed with easy, and has...

    Prodigy Slide Lock

Yep, tried slightly oiling the safety spring loaded plunger (that the slide lock pushes in). I did NOT put a small amount of oil on the slide lock rod (that is what you meant right?). Magazine was out and the guide rod was NOT fully tightened (a couple of revolutions loose)

    Prodigy Slide Lock

I have been shooting for a number of years (30+) but not a consistent regular shooter. I have the Prodigy 5" Comp. This is the first 1911/2011 that I have owned. I have had an issue getting the slide lock out since new. But, today, after shooting yesterday I had an awful time getting the slide...
