    XD mod 2?

Just another interesting aspect of the "missing" Mod 2. I checked the HS-Produkt website (the Croatian manufacture of the HS 2000 and XD series for Springfield as we all know). This website in the past carried the original XD model and the XDM line of handguns under the HS designations. You can...

    XD mod 2?

Oh yes, the "Grip Zone"..... I do love the grip angle of the XD line. Points like a 1911, that's something HS-Produkt got right with the gun's introduction as the HS 2000.

    XD mod 2?

I am also a big fan of the Mod 2. My hope is Springfield plans to upgrade or introduce a similar model. Maybe one of the moderators can tell us why the Mod 2 is missing from the lineup?

    1911 Caliber Choice

I shoot 10mm, .45, 9mm, .40 and 38 super in a 1911 platform. Arthritis has become more of an issue, so I usually shoot my RO and STI in 9mm. However, a well-fit barrel in .45 caliber I find to be the most accurate of the five calibers for me. You can't beat the 1911 platform.

    The .40

I really like the .40. It is accurate and a great personal defense round. I have an early XD four-inch gun that shoots tight groups if I do my part. I also have a 10mm 1911 that I had fitted with a .40 barrel and it is one of my two most accurate guns. My most accurate handgun is a S&W 625 that...

    Welcome Message

Great to be a new member. I am an old guy who grew up with revolvers, transitioned to 1911s and love my XDs. Look forward to learning from this forum community.
