Not sure why it took this many decades to jump into a 1911, but here I am. It’s a brilliant, quirky design. First ever round down range (10yd, standing) was as bullseye as a bullseye can be. Only 2 of my other handguns did that. Looking forward to getting to know this one.

My 340PD is a great conceal choice when max discretion is needed(ankle or pocket). It’s a bear with full 357 mag loads, but if I ever need it, that’ll be my last consideration. It’s also a great backup due to it’s light weight. I put Pachmayr’s on it so I can get a pinky into the grip.

To the OP’s original question, not from my perspective. 165 is still readily available in the SW, and is what I carry concealed in urban environments (HST LE 165).
