I personaly have no use of a firearm with a removable chasie except for giving the gun a good cleaning. For me if I wanted a smaller or larger pistol. I would rather have a whole gun and not a bunch of parts to mix and match. Like I said it's my personal taste.
I priced out what it would cost to have the slide milled and the price scared me off.
Forgot to add about the new Hellcat also came with a Shield Red Dot & 2 extra magazines.
I started reloading about 1958 and there was not a great choice of bullets or powders. Also the Speer manual is original
and in pristine condition. And the price was $1. It pays to check out Estate sales you never know what you will run across!
Speaking of reloading manuals at an estate sale I picked up a Speer #1 reloading manual.
I was surprised that there was very few loads for each cartridge.
I have been reloading ammo since the late 50's. All the deer I have harvested have been shot with handloads. Still loading ammo now at 84 years old, to keep the Family with lots of ammo that has NO PAPER TRAIL should the Government clamp down.
Today you might not be able to get factory ammo. I do reload. If I have to use reloads I would make sure that the case & bullet match. Such as Speer Nickle Plated case & Speer Gold Dot bullets. You could use Hornaday, Nosler & several other brands.
