What ammo? I bought some cheap overseas “surplus military 7.62x51” that I’ve had a number of stick rounds. Turns out the only “surplus military” ammo they sell to the public is the stuff that doesn’t pass inspection. 🙄

There a few companies that sell an AR for about $400-500 and they’re surprisingly good for the casual shooter. It’s hard to build your own for that.

I have an RIA single-stack 1911 in 10mm and it’s a shooter. I think it’s more accurate than my Ruger 1911 and has run flawlessly. Highly recommended. Kinber? No thanks. All style and questionable quality.

I’ve got a PS90 and a Palmetto State Armory 5.7 Rock pistol on the way. Its a fun round to shoot. Supposedly PSA bought an ammo line in the Remington bankruptcy auction and will be dedicating it to 5.7 production. Between PSA, FN, and Federal I expect to see prices come down considerably.
